Dhamaar is also known as Hori or Holi.The lyric of Dhamaar generally describe the festival of Holi.The songs of Dhamaar are generally sung in Dhamaar Taal.Dhamaar style of singing is very similar to Dhrupad n the lyrics are given more emphasis(Bol Aang).Similar to dhrupad this is a serious form of singing.The songs of Dhamaar have Gamak(variation) in it.Dhamaar Taal has 14 beats grouped asymmetrically into 5-2-3-4 pattern.
